Greenbelt offers ACLS, PALS and PEARS in accordance with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSFC) and the American Heart Association (AHA). Greenbelt operates out of a large country home NW of Toronto, between Newmarket and Orangeville. We have a one day 11 hour format for the ACLS Provider. Our update/recert courses for ACLS and PALS are by prearranged groups only. PALS provider courses run over two days, 16 hours. All our courses run on weekdays. The 2010 manual and 2015 ECC handbook are included and expedited to your door ahead of time. There is pre course study to be done so that you are prepared for your course. For ACLS and PALS courses you must have taken a BLS for health care providers course within the last year. HSFC has also mandated that ACLS and PALS courses have a written exam component (including update/recert courses). Light breakfast, lunch, snacks and parking are provided. You receive your e-card upon successful completion of the course by logging in to the HSF website with your HSF number and password. A receipt is issued on course day. A one day course instead of two, and no weekends. Greenbelt also offers the Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) program for the intermediate pediatric health care provider. Greenbelt's ONE-OF-A-KIND, PHYSICIAN-LED CRITICAL CARE CONCEPTS workshop is coming soon! Information to follow shortly.
